I am writing this post while on my return flight to the United States, after spending the last two weeks (14 nights) aboard the Celebrity Eclipse. Founded in April 2010, Celebrity Eclipse combines award-winning family of "Solstice-class ships, currently the Celebrity Solstice, the Equinox in 2011, and the silhouette. So, although I will try to maintain total objectivity, I must admit that I put on the Eclipse with very high expectations.Fortunately, with few exceptions (as described below), I was not disappointed.

The 'hardware'

Like every modern cruise ship, Celebrity Eclipse offers a wide selection of accommodation ranging from the cheapest inside cabins (without windows), deluxe rooms with a personal butler.
